This tiny creative writing program is fully self-funded by Xianhua Lou, if you like it, please consider donate to help it last longer. Your support matters. Lou founded this creative writing program for the purpose of improving the cultural visibility of Qianjiang, a small city in Hubei where people's stories are often left unnoticed.

Living both in small cities and bigger ones in Hubei, Tome Loulin uses his unique imagination to preserve the memories, small talks, and cherishing interactions with people he had encountered in an authentic way. To tell and retell a story or an encounter, as Loulin puts it, is to live through that part of our lives anew in a radically reshaped and reimagined way, which is crucial for our intellectual survival. His email is: tome@loulin.info

Lou Xianhua

Lou Xianhua, based in a southern Hubei city of Qianjiang and occasionally in Hong Kong and other provinces in southern China, writes, in his own words, in order to reconnect with certain places that have shaped in part his Hubei identity. His focus lies on the changing realities of Qianjiang wherein the stories of the locals are often unrecorded. His email address is: letter@loulin.org

Creative Writing Program Qianjiang

Reflecting on the cultural occurrence and social phenomena that affect us the most, Lou Hsienhua writes about various topics that seldom have been written and examined seriously, trying to capture the light that shines forth in the cave of phenomena and to create a way for us to see the unseen and overlooked.
